1. The Website
When a user visits our website, ‘required’ cookies are placed on the user’s computer to enable the navigation and basic functionality of the website.
There is no advertising on our website.
Opt-out: You can configure your browser to disable cookies. This may reduce site functionality. You can also download Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
If you have been given a login to edit information on the site, we store only the information required for that purpose and disclose it only to those in our organisation who (i) need to know that information to enable that activity and (ii) have undertaken not to disclose it to others.
2. Personal Information about Members and Friends of OWL
When you became a member or friend of One World Link you provided some or all of: your name, address, email address, and telephone number(s). We also record information about subscriptions and donations. We protect the data carefully and take every practicable measure to ensure that your information is safe and accurate at all times. We will never sell your data or share it with anyone outside One World Link except with your individual written permission. We use Groupspaces to handle the data – see the Groupspaces security statement.
The GDPR Article 6(1)(f) allows us to store and use such information for what they call ‘Legitimate interest’; in our case this means providing you with updates about One World Link activities (primarily using email, but with phone and address details to give an alternative contact method in case email communication fails).
You can always ask us to change the way we communicate with you, or to reduce the amount of communications you receive, or to have your details removed completely from our records. For this, or any other enquiry, please contact our Membership Secretary: email@example.com
